White Truffle Extract
Considered the “Queen of all truffles,” the white truffle is one of earth’s rarest delicacies. For our “Elastine Absolute” moisturizer we source a rare white truffle extract from the Langhe and Montferrat part of the Piedmont region of northern Italy. White truffle extract is famous for its medicinal values, thus becoming more of a treatment to the skin rather than a beauty product. The white truffle is made up of 73% water, the remaining weight comprising a cocktail of vitamins and minerals such as calcium, potassium and magnesium. It contains a special enzyme called “Superoxide Dismutase”, which helps in repairing damaged skin while at the same time improving elasticity and preventing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Its high vitamin C content is the main reason behind its brightening power. White truffles also contain vitamin B3 or Niacin, essential in repairing damaged skin barrier and preventing dry and irritated skin.
