Q: What is the difference between natural and organic?
A: Natural describes an ingredient produced by nature, such as a plant or vegetable. Organic refers to the properties entailed in the production of the component. An organic ingredient is a natural ingredient that has been grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or chemicals. Not all-natural ingredients are organic. Avitalin formulas use as many organic ingredients as possible, and all Avitalin products are natural.
Q: Why are natural skin care ingredients better for us?
A: The skin is a living and breathing tissue that covers and protects the body but also absorbs things that come into contact with it. This means that our skin can be nourished externally with some ingredients and can easily be damaged by harmful chemicals, which are widely used in cosmetic formulations. It is simple to understand that the more we reduce the number of toxins we introduce to our body, whether it comes via the food we eat, the water we drink, or the skincare products we put on our skin, the healthier we will be.
Q: What makes Avitalin products so effective?
A: The Avitalin skincare line is absolutely free of artificial colors, artificial fragrances, and harmful chemicals. Each formula includes a unique complex of skin nutrients in high concentrations. Once you begin to use Avitalin products, you may experience a slight tingling sensation. You will notice a healthy glow that signifies Avitalin's effectiveness.
Q: What criteria do you have when choosing the ingredients?
A: All ingredients must meet Avitalin strict guidelines:
- We choose our suppliers based on the quality and concentration levels of the active ingredients present.
- Our ingredients come from all over the world: (reputable labs and farms of Europe, New Zealand, Canada, Unites States, Brazil and Australia).
- We use Fair-
Trade ingredients when it is possible.
- All the latest skincare ingredients must be backed by science.
- All oils, plant extracts, butters and essential oils must be certified organic whenever possible.
- We do not use ingredients such as sodium lauryl sulfate, parabens, phthalates, petrolatum, artificial colors, fragrances, silicones, formaldehyde -
releasing ingredients, ureas, propylene glycol, ammonia compounds or triclosan.
- All ingredients must be harvested in an environmentally-
friendly and humane manner with absolutely no animal testing.
Q: How do you test your products?
A: We buy our actives from reputable cosmetic labs that test all the ingredients and have proven scientific data about each component. We have a private testing lab that is available to us if we need additional testing. After testing products in a clinical setting, we work with our clients who gladly volunteer to try new products and report their observed results.
Q: Do all of your products work for sensitive skin?
A: Avitalin skincare products were developed for all skin types and are safe to use on even the most sensitive skin.
Q: Since your company uses a natural preservation system, how should I store your skin care products? How long will they stay fresh?
A: You can safely store Avitalin products at average room temperature. We suggest not keeping the product in a hot environment, which may cause the formula to separate. Unopened, Avitalin products stay fresh for up to one year. Once opened, they will remain fresh for up to six months. We make our products in small batches and store very little inventory.
Q: A few of your creams can be used for either dry or oily skin. How can they be effective for both skin types?
A: These formulas have a light consistency and contain nothing that is potentially damaging or irritating. Avitalin formulas are generally of light texture and are non-comedogenic, meaning they do not clog the pores. Our herbal blends also have anti-inflammatory properties, which benefit both skin types.
Q: I noticed that the color of one of my Avitalin creams has changed. Why did this happen?
A: The hue of some of our products will darken after you have had them for a while. This is a regular change caused by some of the essential oils and herbal extracts in our formulas. It is perfectly normal and does not mean there is anything wrong with your Avitalin product. Color, consistency, texture, and scent may vary from one batch to another due to natural content.
Q: Can I use these products if I am pregnant or nursing?
A: All of our products and ingredients are evaluated to the highest quality and safety standards. They are totally safe to use while you are pregnant or nursing, except Gentle Micropeel and Skin Transformer Concentrate. It contains lactic acid and retinol, and we suggest that our clients stay away from all acid-based products while pregnant.
Q: Are all of your products vegan?
A: Avitalin follows the holistic principals of skincare but does not ascribe to vegan philosophy. However, we do respect the vegans' view and have created many formulas that are suitable for vegans. On our web site, it's clearly indicated which product is vegan.
Q: We noticed that you use emulsifiers in your formulas. Are those safe?
A: To create an excellent moisturizing lotion or cream, we must use an emulsifier which will give the formula stability and add a hydrating luxurious feel. Some “natural” companies call some of their products ‘moisturizers,” yet they are just oil blends (which do not need any emulsifiers). These ingredients have some moisturizing effects but can never replace a good skincare cream or lotion. Without emulsifiers, it will limit the formula's ability to provide a sufficient amount of moisture and nutrients. Not all emulsifiers are created equal. Synthetic emulsifiers are usually petroleum/hydrocarbon derivatives and can be allergens. At Avitalin, we use vegetable emulsifying waxes, which consist of the natural fats and esters found in plants. We also use phospholipids (liposome blends), which are well known for their incredible benefits to the skin.
Q: What materials do you prefer for packaging your product?
A: We use glass containers for most of our packaging. The glass preserves the integrity of the natural formulation better. It's also recyclable!
Q: When can I expect to see results?
A: Within seven days of starting the use of Avitalin products, you should have silkier, softer skin, and an increased hydration level. Fine lines and wrinkles will have a smoother appearance, and you should have a healthy glow.
